On the one hand, the KIEZTANDEM project is aimed at particularly disadvantaged people with a history of refugees and/or migration, who are accompanied and supported by sponsors in the form of tandems and, on the other hand, volunteers who are active as sponsors. The project places refugees and families in a sponsorship with volunteers from their neighbourhood, who explore the neighbourhood with them, strengthen language and social skills and support public authorities and labour market integration. The aim is to improve social inclusion, participation and employability and to stabilise particularly disadvantaged people in their local environment through increased skills. In addition, there is an awareness of volunteering. The volunteer sponsors are specifically prepared for their tasks with project entry and supported during the sponsorship in the form of qualification, consulting and exchange formats. In addition to regular workshops and training courses, group meetings and social counselling are part of the project implementation, at the end of which there is an evaluation workshop._x000D_ Competence assessment by establishing competence upon entry into the measure and measuring the progress of competence during and at the end of the project participation are required.
