Future Care – Professional Entry into Health Professions and Combating Care Emergency in Pankow

Funding will be given to a project under ESF Instrument 13‘PEB – Innovative Model Projects’. The aim is to test new approaches to improve social integration and employability of people who are particularly remote from the labour market at the local level._x000D_ The project “Future Care – Professional Entry into Health Professions and Combating the Emergency of Care” aims to inspire people who are far from the labour market for the diversity of health professions while at the same time counteracting the threat of nursing emergencies and creating sustainable and longer-term employment prospects for the target group of single-parent and immigrant men and women in Pankow. Inspiring people for health professions is an important societal challenge in order to counter the nursing emergency. And for people looking for work there is the opportunity for qualified meaningful employment if the working conditions can be reconciled with personal circumstances._x000D_ At the same time, due to migration and demographic change, the number of patients with a migrant background in an increasingly migratory district such as Pankow continues to increase. Therefore, there is a high need for intercultural competences among health workers to ensure the quality of care._x000D_
