Adaptable companies, which can react agilely to disruptions in the value-added networks and production systems, are key to a resilient economy. In the future, Saxon companies must be able to identify and evaluate risky changes in time. The REACT Research Group (RFG) takes a holistic approach that combines the ability to change to achieve from the perspectives of man, technology and organisation. The project aims to explore concepts of adaptability in terms of their benefits for designing a digitalised and green economy for manufacturing, Saxon SMEs. Saxon companies face the challenge of rejuvenating their workforce in the STEM professional fields in the coming years. Looking at the need for STEM professionals before and during the coronavirus crisis, strong differences in the individual STEM areas are particularly evident. The RFG contributes an amount to meet this STEM specialist needs in the field of digital and green economy through targeted, interdisciplinary training of young scientists (NWW). In the RFG, NWW further qualifies itself scientifically and professionally and acquires additional interdisciplinary key qualifications. During the project run, the NWW will act as multipliers and pass on their knowledge to students through integration into the courses.
