Professional orientation with a focus on STEM, in lot 22 in the school year 2018/2019

NETZWERK FOR PRAXISNAHE BERUFSORIENTATION – Landkreis Gotha_Los 22 The joint project for the implementation of a quality-oriented practice-oriented vocational and study orientation is implemented by the NETZWERK FOR PRAXISNAHE BERUFS-ORIENTUNG MINT – Landkreis Gotha. The FAV Service gGmbH, Gotha is responsible for the measures and cooperates with the following partners: • VHS-BILDUNGSWERK GmbH -Zweigniederlassung Thüringen-, Gotha • Technical Education Center Gotha GmbH, Gotha • Educational Centre for Automotive Engineering, Gotha. The implementation takes the form of professional field sensing in grade 9 and vocational field trials from grade 10 onwards for pupils of high schools in the lot area. The structures available in the network of sponsors offer students the best opportunities for individual occupational field sensing and testing as well as insights into the world of study. The student body will be given access to a broad portfolio of professions. The sponsor association can refer to already successful implementation in the school year 2017/2018. The current implementation period is planned from 3.9.2018 to 31.7.2019. Currently, the offer of 4 high schools is used. The venues are the premises of the joint partners in Gotha. We initiate a systematic school-specific process of individual professional orientation as well as the study orientation for each individual student. We take into account the “Landing Strategy Vocational Orientation”, regional specifics and areas of growth. The measures are implemented in cooperation with the Cooperation Schools, the Employment Agency, the Agency for Educational Justice and Vocational Orientation (ABBO), the Chambers and other stakeholders and is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and co-financed by the Federal Employment Agency. The main objectives of these measures are to prepare all young people for the working world of tomorrow and to support the transition from school to education, study and occupation. In doing so, the measures make a significant contribution to equality with the aim of promoting the reduction of gender-specific training, study and career choice patterns.
