The joint project, funded by the ESF and the Free State of Thuringia, for the implementation of a quality-oriented practice-oriented vocational and study orientation is implemented by the NETZWERK FOR PRAXISNAHE BERUFSORIENTUNG – Landkreis Gotha and co-financed by the Employment Agency. The FAV Service gGmbH, Gotha is responsible for the measures and cooperates with the following regionally located network partners: • VHS-BILDUNGSWERK GmbH -Zweigniederlassung Thüringen-, Gotha • Technische Bildungsstätte Gotha GmbH, Gotha • Educational centre for motor vehicle technology, Gotha The implementation for the secondary schools in the lot area takes the form of professional field sensing in class 9. The schools also have the opportunity to use professional field trials in grades 10 or 11 for a selected student body. The structures available in the carrier network use the results of the potential analyses in the form of practical test procedures and offer the best opportunities for individual occupational field sensing and testing and provides insights into the study world. The student body will be given access to a broad portfolio of professions. In doing so, we follow the approach of co-determination, because the participants can designate professional field wishes which are also applied in most cases. The planned action period is from 2.9.2019 to 31.7.2020, implementation locations are the premises of the joint partners in Gotha. We initiate a systematic school-specific process of individual professional orientation as well as the study orientation for each individual student. In doing so, we take into account the “Landing Strategy Vocational Orientation”, regional specifics and growth fields. According to current knowledge, 267 pupils from four high schools will participate in the measure in the above-mentioned period. Cooperation with other high schools is planned.
