Practical vocational orientation in the school year 2021/2022 in the local authority according to lot list No. 3 with a focus on STEM

The “Network for Practical Vocational Orientation” (Network for Practical Vocational Orientation) has been in the Sömmerda regional body for several school years, focusing on STEM at grammar schools in the lot area with the following partners involved in the implementation: as the responsible lot leader, the FAV Service gGmbH Handwerks-Bildungszentrum Weimar e.V., Weimar Grone-Bildungszentrum Thüringen gGmbH, Weimar The implementation is currently planned for about 276 pupils from three grammar schools in the lot area. You can try out yourself in the following professional fields: Construction, Architecture, Surveying Medicine, Psychology, Care and Therapy Electrical Computers, Computer Science, IT Agriculture, Nature and Environment Metal, Mechanical Engineering Glass, Paints, Paints, Plastics Wood and Paper Technology, Technology Fields Transport, Logistics, Transport. The preparation of young people for the working world of tomorrow is essential. In doing so, the measures support them in the transition from school to education or studies in the STEM sector and give them the opportunity to try out themselves in a professional context. Students are given an initial orientation to the fields of work and study and their main areas of activity. The measures make an important contribution to equality with the aim of initiating the reduction of gender-specific training, study and career choice patterns. Further support is provided by the project partners Agency for Educational Justice and Vocational Orientation (ABBO), the chambers and other actors in vocational education in the lot area. Vocational orientation measures that could not be implemented in the previous school year due to the pandemic should be made possible for the pupils. The measures are funded by the Free State of Thuringia from funds from the European Social Fund co-financed by the Federal Employment Agency.
