QUIT- Qualification Initiative Thüringen

Thuringia needs as quickly as possible qualified specialists in the largest possible number in almost all areas of the economy. A convergence of education with companies is the model of success. Through the initiation, expansion and improvement of continuing education, our work starts in order to accompany 180 companies in the process of qualification of applicants and employees, especially of low-skilled, in the implementation of sustainable strategies. The project aims to secure professionals who promote social inclusion to improve education levels and lifelong learning. The target group is people with or without a school/vocational qualification, disadvantaged, long-term unemployed, low-skilled or low-income workers and people with a migrant background. Project objectives are to increase participation in vocational education and training, through qualification (particularly through partial qualification), by extending the use of “best-agers” as well as an expansion of the specialist development network. In gender-sensitive work, the aim is to reduce discrimination in participation in working life, to a more family-friendly work organisation and to help older people to re-enter. By opening up companies for vocational and/or job-related qualifications, the aim is to achieve a low-threshold entry into the world of work with a variety of graduation-oriented perspectives, a minimum of low-skilled employees, improved employment prospects for employees, working against exclusion of older citizens, improved future and promotion prospects for applicants and employees. In addition, additional benefits are to be achieved, such as improving the joint action of institutions, educational institutions and associations, strengthening companies and their sustainable opening up to managerial qualifications. Measures to link qualifications more closely to companies include the development, testing, implementation and implementation of a company-related partial qualification (UTQ) networking of requirements and offers using the funding opportunities of the Agency for Labour (MAG/UTQ Combined Concept), development of employment models for best-ager creation of curricula for external qualification management. In contrast to the previous implementation, participants are now (accompanied) expanded in company practice and acquire subject-theoretical and complementary practical competences from specialised educational providers and thus prepare themselves in a targeted manner for the determination of competence. Companies and participants are supported by learning process attendants in external qualification management. Target sizes: 400 companies will advise 180 companies to cooperate: 100 recruitments of applicants in the MAG-UTQ combo concept implement 450 participants in modules of UTQ, 240 participants “Best-Ager” are activated for further employment the skilled workers development network is to be expanded by 100 companies and 10 cooperation partners the project work is involved. Close cooperation with regional agencies for work, job centres, the IHK’n, regional educational institutions, company training associations and industry associations should ensure the success of the project.
