On the basis of the “Landing Strategy for Practical Vocational Orientation in Thuringia” and the ESF School Promotion Directive, vocational field surveys with a focus on STEM are offered as practical experiences for pupils. The target groups are students of grade 9 at schools who are preparing for the general university entrance qualification. Through the professional field surveys, the planned 75 pupils in 30 hours in the IB and JBZ – an overview of the breadth of STEM offers and thus – will be able to make a reasoned decision to choose a subsequent student internship. The professional field surveys are offered by the International Federation (IB) in the professional fields – glass, paints, varnishes, plastics, – wood, paper, – computers, computer science, IT – construction, architecture, surveying and the Jenaer Bildungszentrum (JBZ) cooperating with him in the professional fields – technology, technology fields, – metal, mechanical engineering, – electrical engineering. The field of electrical engineering contains a study-oriented sequence. In order to be able to offer vocational fields of breadth for all forms of school (gymnasia, regular schools, community schools, funding centre) in the city of Jena, the International Federation, IB Mitte gGmbH for Education and Social Services (IB Mitte gGmbH), subsidiary Thüringen and – the JENAER BILDUNGSZENTRUM gGmbH SCHOTT CARL ZEISS JENOPTIK have joined together to form a network. The cooperating partner is the Ernst Abbe-Hochschule Jena. The educational institutions work closely with the schools, parents and career guidance of the Jena Employment Agency. The project duration is 1.1.2019 – 31.7.2019.
