Thinka Erfurt

As part of the Thuringian Initiative for Integration, Sustainability, Cooperation and Activation (Thinka III), the state capital Erfurt, the Office for Social Affairs and Health, intends to continue the project Thinka Erfurt, launched in 2015, as a social citizen service in the social space Berliner Platz/Rieth. The social infrastructure of this selected disadvantaged Erfurt social area is to be further developed and sustainably established for citizens through the continuation of this residential or social space-related social contact point for citizens. Due to the successes and positive response of project partners and on-site actors, the Erfurt City Administration intends to continue the cooperation with Mit Menschen e.V. as implementing project promoter. There is continuous coordination with the city administration. The purpose of the contact point is to further develop and establish the neutral, low-threshold offer directly in the residential quarter – i.e. in the concrete living environment of those seeking help. This will continue to contribute to social integration, the improvement of employability and the reduction of individual poverty situations of disadvantaged groups, especially long-term unemployed, older transfer recipients, people with multiple problems, single parents, people with a migration/flight background, people with disabilities. The aim of the work is to further develop and sustainably consolidate the identified and initiated social space-oriented network structures involving on-site actors. This will make the social infrastructure more easily accessible to those seeking help in the future. Poverty symptoms should be combated and the quality of life in selected disadvantaged housing quarters should be improved sustainably. It is a priority to make use of the existing offers and to make them accessible through networking.
