On the basis of the “Landing Strategy for Practical Vocational Orientation in Thuringia” and the ESF School Promotion Directive, out-of-company and company practice days are offered and carried out for pupils with severe disabilities. We implement the measure in the period from 1.10.2020 to 31.7.2022 in accordance with the contents of the present overall concept. In lot area 3, the measure is carried out by the joint partners Bildungszentrum Saalfeld gGmbH and ÜAG gGmbH Jena – ÜAG gGmbH for pupils from Jena and the Saale-Holzland-Kreis. The measure comprises a maximum of 270 hours of time per pupil, usually spread over 3 school years. Practice days take place on one day a week. A practice day usually lasts 6 hours. At the educational institution, a maximum of 180 hours of time (maximum 30 out-of-company practice days) are available, which are carried out in different occupational fields. During the company practice days (BP), participants are supervised by a social pedagogue of the educational institution. Action sequence and planning (e.g. number and distribution of practical days) are individually coordinated for each student. Barriers to participation are recognised at an early stage and specifically reduced. The development of key labour and life-relevant competences, including career choice skills, aims to strengthen employment and vocational training skills. In practical experience in various professional fields, students recognise their interests and inclinations, talents and skills and at the same time develop important work-relevant social, personal, factual and methodological skills. Furthermore, the measure aims at the development of inclusive structures, cultures and an inclusive practice. It is about establishing and developing partnerships, cooperations and networks of all actors in a sustainable way, which accompany young people in the implementation of their personal career plans and thus promote their entry into the world of work, employment or vocational qualification. Participants The measure is aimed at students with special educational needs in the following areas: mental development, physical and motor development, hearing and seeing. At the beginning of the measure, the pupils must prove a recognised severe disability or equality within the framework of the special provision of § 68(4) SGB IX for the duration of the measure. In the school years 2020/21 and 2021/22 pupils from 2 Jena schools, the State Community School “Kulturanum Jena” and the State Community School “An der Trießnitz” participate in the measure in ÜAG gGmbH.
