The aim of the project is to expand the existing local heating network with the greatest possible use of renewable energies and combined heat and power. In the planned expansion of the local heating network, all public and private buildings, such as daycare centres and retirement centres, will be connected to the heat supply. For the supply of the district, a combination of the following energy generation facilities is planned: A heat exchanger in Lake Bühn, a wood chipping plant with two boilers and a CHP. In addition, target group-specific awareness-raising activities and information campaigns take place in public institutions, schools and kindergartens, as well as visits.
