Application for an efficient and solar thermal-assisted heat supply in Teningen-Heimbach

The municipality of Teningen has been performing its role model for the environment and climate for over 20 years. It was one of the first municipalities of Baden Württemberg to be certified EMAS and continues the extensive catalogue of measures annually. This also includes the initiative to build a heating network for Teningen-Heimbach. Local heat supply Teningen GmbH intends to establish a local heat supply based on biomass and solar thermal energy in Heimbach. Municipal and private buildings are supplied. The use of solar thermal energy as a heat source, especially in a local centre, is particularly innovative and ecological. It ensures efficient use of domestic biomass. In southern Germany, there are many local structures similar to those in Teningen-Heimbach. A renewable-based local heat supply could be an alternative to conventional heat supply solutions for these locations.
