In order to detect new pathogens so quickly that pandemics can be prevented, genomic data from pathogens must be compared in near real time with databases of existing pathogens. For this purpose, biopore-based sequencing is used in this project in order to enable rapid identification of new variants in almost real time. This requires a complex computer infrastructure, which can categorise and detect the long, unprecise sequence sequences by means of a non-redundant, dynamic database. For this purpose, a special algorithm structure for database queries is developed and implemented.
