The applicant Schramm Hotel Verwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG has been operating the Hotel Garni “Kleiner Yachthafen” in Brunsbüttel since 2010. In order to open up new guest groups in the upscale classification segment (4 star superior), the company is now planning to build a second hotel with a total of 80 rooms in a central location of the city. During the week, the offer will mainly target business and conference travellers (industrial location). On weekends, the focus is on short-term vacationers and “decelerators”. The hotel building is planned on the unused area of the leisure indoor pool LUV in Brunsbüttel. This is located directly on the banks of the Braake, with its 5 km attractive hiking trail. The leisure pool was extensively modernised in 2014 and 15. Directly adjacent to the swimming pool is a spacious sauna area. The leisure pool is centrally located in Brunsbüttel on the southern edge of the 6-hectare citizens’ park. The project requested for funding includes the construction of the building in the style of a maritime storage facility in the so-called New England or Hamptons style on 4+ 1 storeys. In addition to the accommodation area, there is a lobby, a restaurant and bar area as well as catering facilities. A modern wellness and fitness area complements the planned offer. A cooperation or structural connection to the leisure pool is planned.
