Sustainable development and networking of the green-historical open spaces Museumberg, Old Cemetery and Christiansenpark

It is intended to develop and network the areas of the former gardens of the Christianen merchant family – now Museumberg, Old Cemetery and Christiansenpark – in a sustainable and sensitive way, taking into account the conservation of nature and monuments. The preserved parts of the Christianens Gardens are to be experienced as a unique cultural-historical ensemble again as a unity and anchored in consciousness as a testament to German-Danish history. At the same time, the areas are to be upgraded as a nature experience space and the use for local recreation, play and movement will be improved. To this end, urban barriers are to be removed: The Museum Mountain is to be connected to the Old Town by improving the accessibility and a greater experience. The partial areas on the Museum Mountain, the Old Cemetery and the Christiansenpark are to be connected better and barrier-free through open space planning measures. Carefully, culturally significant components of the facilities are to be restored and valued in parts, and the surroundings of the museum buildings are to be upgraded.
