Port Macin Development

The overall objective of the project is the following: • Modernization and Development of Macin Port as a growth engine of the South-East Development Region • Increasing the traffic volume • Reducing the environmental impact Macin Port is located in the eastern part of the county, on the Macin-Dunarea Veche branch, between km. 14+800 – km. 13+950, on the right bank. The port has operating fronts totaling 200 ml of pereat quay and 300 ml of natural shore, distributed in 4 locations, with the following cadastral data: - cadastral number 31925 and land register number 31925; - cadastral number 31926 and land register number 31926; - cadastral number 31927 and land register number 31927; - cadastral number 31806 and land register number 31806; The Turcoaia operating point is located in the eastern part of the county, on the Old Danube – Macin branch, on the right bank and consists of two working points. The Turcoaia site, located at km 35+200 – km 35+500, has an operating front of 280 ml of pereat quay and the Gura Arman site, located at km 30+900 – km 31+100, has an operating front of 200 ml of pereat quay. The loading point of Turcoaia is a port where raw stone from the Iacob Deal quarry is operated. - cadastral number 32220-C1 and land register number 32220-C1; The loading point of Gura Arman is a port designed for the operation of quarry products, either the raw stone from the Iacob Deal quarry, or aprons of aggregates resulting from mechanical crushing. - cadastral number 191-C2 and land register number 191-C2; From a legal point of view, the Macin Port buildings covered by this documentation are land under the concession of the National Company for Maritime Danube Ports Administration SA Galati for management and exploitation, in accordance with the provisions of Concession Contract LO/3447 of 12.09.2008 concluded with the Ministry of Transport, respectively Annex no. 1 to the concession contract. The implementation of the ‘MACIN PORT DEVELOPMENT’ project aims to achieve the following activities: • Dredging works in the aquatorium of the berths and ensuring the access depths for all types of ships specific to the operations taking place in the port of Macin; • Remediation of defects and damages identified in the Technical Expertise; • Bringing the resilience of the infrastructure to the level necessary to carry out the envisaged activities safely; • Modernisation of quay facilities – shock absorbers, flashes, bollards, quay ladders; • Landing plan and platform; • Modernisation of existing utility networks – electricity, water supply, sewerage, rainwater collection; • Identifying reliable power supplies for utility networks; • Introduction of new utility networks: telephony and internet; • Arrangement of port platforms and lands available for exploitation and/or subsequent investments; • Installation
