The overall objective of the project is to produce electricity from renewable solar energy sources in order to support a low-carbon economy, thus contributing to the objectives of the European Union for the period 2021-2030, assumed at national level through the Integrated National Energy and Climate Change Plan 2021-2030 (NECP) on final consumption of energy from renewable resources and increasing energy efficiency. At the same time, this objective is in line with the objective of the financing program in terms of the use of energy from renewable sources at the level of Curtici City. Considering that the project will create a new capacity to produce energy from renewable sources, the project contributes to result indicator 2S145 - Primary production of energy from renewable sources and to achieving the LIOP targets. After the implementation of the project, a large part of the thermal energy required at the level of the applicant's infrastructure will be produced locally, using less exploited renewable sources and greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced within the locality, taking into account the replacement of traditional systems using fossil fuels, thus the beneficiary and the proposed consumers benefiting directly, and the entire local community benefiting indirectly from the results of this project. The project includes: - investments in equipment, machinery, specific facilities necessary to obtain energy from renewable sources intended for the local public authorities' own energy consumption. The use of renewable energy sources includes photovoltaic panels, the use of geothermal water, the use of wind energy in areas where there is potential for using wind energy, and other renewable energy sources defined in accordance with Article 2 of Law No 220/2008, as amended, with the exception of biomass. The project contributes to Specific Objective 11.2: The use of energy from renewable sources at the level of local public authorities aims to promote investments in the clean energy and energy efficiency sector in order to ensure the contribution to the final consumption targets of energy from renewable sources, by: - the increase in the share of renewable energy in total primary energy consumption, as a result of investments to increase the installed capacity of producing heat from renewable sources; - reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere by replacing part of the amount of fossil fuels consumed each year; - increasing the level of energy independence of ATU Oras Curtici by obtaining energy from renewable sources for its own consumption; - a more resource-efficient, greener and more competitive economy, leading to sustainable development, which is based, inter alia, on a
