The bypass version of Arad-Est

The overall objective of the project is to improve the mobility of the population, goods and services, in order to stimulate sustainable economic development - by streamlining traffic, decongesting traffic in transited areas. Through the implementation of the project, the following goals will be achieved: • Increasing the mobility of people and goods – by reducing travel time due to increased travel speed and, implicitly, the time spent on transporting goods and passengers • Reducing transport costs – by carrying out this project, drivers will save time and energy and will reduce their fuel and vehicle maintenance costs. • Increasing traffic safety - by streamlining traffic • Facilitating inter-regional cooperation, attracting internal and external investments, increasing the competitiveness of enterprises/companies and labour mobility and, therefore, a faster development of the region and, finally, of Romania. Also, the implementation of the project will lead to a reduction of the travel time by about 9 minutes for car trips and an average of 10 minutes for freight vehicle trips. This investment objective contributes to increasing mobility and travel time on the TEN-T core road network and will lead to the achievement of the overall objective of Priority Axis 1: improving mobility through the development of the TEN-T network and metro transport.
