The aim of the project is to increase energy efficiency by installing new photovoltaic systems at six water treatment plants, as well as to rehabilitate the energy group of its own micro hydropower plant, in order to produce green energy for its own consumption, at the water operator APAVIL S.A., Ramnicu Valcea, Valcea County until 31.12.2023. The implementation of the project is in line with the objectives/purpose of LIOP 11.1 Energy efficiency and use of renewable energy for own consumption at the level of enterprises, "Use of renewable energy at the level of regional water operators", ensuring support to APAVIL S.A. and increasing its resilience capacity, through activities to reduce the consumption of energy from non-renewable sources, promoting a more resource-efficient, greener and more competitive economy, leading to sustainable development, which is based, inter alia, on a high level of protection and improvement of the quality of the environment. Ensuring RES energy production through a cumulative capacity of 1.712 MW in 7 sites and reducing CO2 emissions by 675.61 equivalent tons annually supports the implementation of national policies on environmental protection, sustainable and resilient development, ensuring clear activities for the implementation of national strategies in the field and compliance with national and international legislation (National Energy Efficiency Action Plan III (NEEAP III), Directive 2012/27/EU on energy efficiency, etc.). All the works proposed for financing are assembly works, without requiring works or interventions on existing buildings, so in accordance with the national legislation in force, building permits are not required. The total value of the project is EUR 5 152 440.88, of which eligible expenditure EUR 4 252 163.35 and ineligible expenditure: 900.277,53 , of which: EUR 77 618.90 (activity expenditure A.4.1 Project management) and EUR 822 658.63 (tva).
