The Relais signes device is accessible as part of daily permanences. As a result of its success, the waiting times for connection are long. This is an obstacle to increasing the autonomy of deaf people who wish to take social, administrative or economic steps alone. This proposal provides a complementary solution to the current system, allowing a certain number of deaf people in two areas (Luxembourg and Wallonia excluding Brabant and Luxembourg) to benefit from the Sign Relay system up to a maximum of hours (time dedicated to the deaf person) defined with the deaf person and according to their specific needs. The sign relay system provides deaf people with either remote interpretation services to communicate with hearing people during short interviews or the possibility of making interpreted telephone calls to all the desired correspondents in Belgium. The aim is to enable the deaf to contact energy suppliers, telecommunications operators, mutual societies, the banking sector, etc.
