The SC organises the transition of young people into working life by offering them to invest 6 months full-time in projects useful to the community in the public and voluntary sector (help for people, solidarity, culture, education, environment, etc.) while benefiting from weekly training and personalised support. Alternation, guidance before and after the SC, and the inclusion of the programme in a partnership approach (host organisations, Actiris, PSI actors, SIEP, Ifapme, AMO’s, teaching, etc.) organise relays towards the resumption of training, studies, apprenticeships, traineeships or access to employment. The project is a continuation of the activities carried out at BXL since 2011 and aims to enable 147 young people in Brussels who are unemployed or untrained in the first year and 191 young people throughout the RBC to carry out a SC for four years (2022-2025). The young people targeted by the project are NEETs with no distinction between groups, but a special effort will be made to mobilise young people with the lowest levels of education and/or who are far from the labour market.
