The project consists in the implementation of new training courses accessible to people with little education and/or considered remote from the labour market and structured around the development of the activities of a recycling plant, namely training versatile professionals in the re-use, recycling and recovery of bulky items (furniture, wood, fabric, building materials, etc.). The objectives of these courses are to enable trainees to acquire new skills in the upgrading and repackaging of consumer goods from bulky recyparks in La Louvière. This project will also make it possible to create infrastructure and equipment for sorting, recovery, repair, upgrading and – in the long term – marketing of reusable items that citizens wish to dispose of. We will build on Mons’ expertise at a training level and discuss with IFAPME, through its Ifapme Centre, the opportunity to develop, in the long term, pre-qualifying training for the valorist profession and, more broadly, for new professions in the circular economy.
