The project aims to develop job-related support schemes adapted to jobseekers who are deaf or hard of hearing in the region of Liège and Namur. It brings together in a local partnership the expertise of complementary actors in order to respond as adequately as possible to the specific needs identified. This partnership includes: social support (ASBL L’Epée), individual or collective professional support (SAREW), sign language interpretation in person or remotely (SISW), awareness-raising activities (Surdimobile). The work teams are composed of professional deaf or hearing people, everything in their field of competence, are also specialized in the field of deafness and master sign language. The project focuses on support upstream of employment in the following areas: - Social and vocational mobilisation - Guidance and the construction of a vocational project - Development of skills, access to training - Organisation of active job-seeking and confrontation with the labour market.
