The aim of this project is to develop an awareness-raising tool on intellectual disability (ID) for general practitioners and specialists in order to promote the inclusion of ID people in so-called ‘ordinary’ healthcare settings and thus promote their autonomy. Three axes are envisaged: - Axis 1 - Question a sample of doctors in order to better understand their current practices in the reception of the DI patient as well as the representations of their rights, their beliefs vis-à-vis these people, as well as their needs and preferences in terms of training. - Axis 2 – Make people with DI stakeholders involved in the project through the organisation of focus groups in order to understand their experience of medical consultations, the potential difficulties, as well as the avenues that could be put in place to improve health empowerment. - Axis 3 - Develop a tool to raise awareness of the specificities of medical consultations with DI persons for general practitioners and specialists, taking into account the elements isolated at Axis 1 and 2.
