The ERDF is requested to provide the municipality of Casson with a real multipurpose room. Currently, the municipality uses the premises of an old school but these are outdated and not adapted. The aim of the project is therefore to build a room to host events from the community of municipalities (employment forum, conferences, etc.), the municipality (cultural events, etc.), local associations (shows, etc.) and residents (weddings, birthdays, etc.). This equipment will be used for the commune but also for the entire territory of the intercommunality in particular for the holding of cultural events. The building is also remarkable in terms of taking sustainable development into account: pooling of parking spaces, bio-based materials, solar panels... The ERDF will only finance works. This major operation for the municipality and structuring at the level of the inter-municipal territory is one of the 22 projects pre-selected in the context of the call for projects ‘Rural Territories’ launched in April 2023 by the ERDF service.
