In order to contribute to the preservation of these environments, CEN Auvergne has developed for several years and in partnership with the Adour Garonne Water Agency the tool "Wetlands Technical Assistance Cell". The numerous requests and questions from local stakeholders on the management of the territory's wetlands have demonstrated in recent years the need to maintain a "wetlands technical assistance unit" (CATZH) on these territories. The Commission acts mainly on four priorities: 1. Increase the number of measures to preserve wetlands and their functionality; 2. Integrate the tool into territorial approaches 3. The CATZH is complementary to other tools in favour of wetlands, such as regulatory tools, contractual tools, policies for the protection of protected areas, GEMAPI law, etc. ; But it stands out for its singularity of action, which lies in mobilizing and creating a lasting relationship with managers to find solutions for wetlands.
