"New vitalities for the highlands of Thiers" aims to strengthen the attractiveness of the QPV old center. Integrated into a broader urban agenda driven by the social, economic, heritage and environmental challenges of the QPV, the project for the requalification of public spaces constitutes a foundation and a locomotive for its revitalization. The work program focuses on a radius of 200 meters within the ramparts of the city, in a protected sector. The objective pursued by the municipality is to inscribe through multifunctional, commercial, cultural, landscape, tourist and heritage loops, quality public spaces, an essential component of the revitalization of the district. Driven by the architectural and historical richness of the sector, the planned developments do not upset but highlight. Through projects respectful of the sites and their history, will be recreated meeting places, places adapted to commercial and tourist activities and others rather dedicated to families or conducive to contemplation and relaxation. This is why, faced with the constraints of a spur and steep slope, characterized by a high density of buildings, the great part, is made to the accessibility and soft mobilities, to the dewatering and the vegetation and finally to the valorization of the cones of views so characteristic of the "upper city".
