The municipality of Annemasse is carrying out a project of redevelopment and pedestrianization of its city center in order to strengthen its identity and attractiveness. The transformation perimeter of the city center covers 8 streets and avenues and 2 squares. The surfaces will be renovated, vegetated and partly waterproofed. The project jointly addresses the challenges identified in the local area, namely: - Reclassify the hyper-central areas of the city, to highlight the pedestrian rather than the car, with pleasant public spaces accessible to all; - Rethink spaces in order to adapt them to the new environmental prerogatives and ensure their sustainability; - Enhance the economic activities of the city centre, making it more attractive; - Coherence between the major structuring projects of the inter-municipal and communal territory for a pleasant living environment
