The project aims at the construction of an urban freight logistics vessel whose zero-emission design aims to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and local pollutants from road transport. This river boat, the first of its kind, is equipped with batteries powering a compact and intelligent electric propulsion system offering silent and autonomous navigation until 6am. In addition to the main battery system, the roof of its 100 m2 covered warehouse houses 34 solar panels whose stored energy will power onboard services. It is equipped with modern equipment (crane, adjustable walkway, fully hydraulic piles) allowing a wide versatility of services. Its 143-tonne cargo capacity replaces 3 semi-trailers in one trip and thus avoids the city's congestion while offering innovative urban freight logistics solutions and services for boats parked along the docks. Its 27 m long and 7.5 m wide gauge has been tailor-made for docking, loading and unloading on nearly 30 quays of the Rhône and Saône, restricted in terms of infrastructure.
