The project aims to build a new school group in the Genêts district of Bron, with 5 nursery classes and 8 elementary classes, including one dedicated to children with severe disabilities. To cope with the continuous increase in the brondillant population and avoid the saturation of classrooms, a new school group should be built in the Genêts district. The project includes a kindergarten and elementary school, a school restaurant and an after-school daycare. In addition to responding to ecological considerations with geothermal heating, photovoltaic electricity production and highly successful insulation, the compactness of the building makes it possible to meet economic constraints, facilitate building maintenance and construction time. The project finally enhances the existing green spaces on the plot by conserving them to the maximum thus offering a pleasant living environment for children. These green spaces make it possible to preserve the landscape quality of the site, preserve the biodiversity of the site, limit the effects of heat islands via the strong vegetation of the site and enjoy natural solar masks during the summer period. In total, the school group will represent more than 2,600 m2 built, on a plot of 11,590 m2, for an all-expenses budget of €11.5 million. The building will be delivered for the start of the school year 2025.
