As part of an extensive program to combat heat islands, Grand Besançon Métropole wishes to initiate the requalification of the Place de Lattre de Tassigny in Besançon. This square in the city center today has a degraded and very mineral character, with a central space colonized by the automobile. Its requalification has become necessary to respond in particular to the challenge of fighting climate change. As part of the work, an important place is thus given to the dewatering and vegetation of the site. The reconfiguration of the square is also part of a concern to make the space more pleasant, functional and friendly.
