The pottery of the Château de La Montagne is an exceptional and authentic witness of a place of pre-industrial production fully preserved. Classified as a Historical Monument, it is unique in Europe. This restoration project was selected by the Bern Mission in 2018. Following the conservatory measures carried out in 2019, the architectural studies in 2021 and the 1st restoration phase (main roof and facade coatings) carried out in 2022, this application concerns the next phase of the restoration of this remarkable heritage complex. Phase 2024/2025 will focus on: - The restoration of interior walls, floors, framing and covering of the peribole. - The restoration of the interior walls and floors of the central body - The restoration of the interior and exterior carpentry of the peribole. - Electrification of this industrial complex. This restoration phase will allow the partial opening to the visit and in complete safety of the interiors and is an essential element of the tourist development of South Morvan.
