Located in the heart of the village of Villers-les-Pots, the Auberge du Cheval Rouge, a former emblematic place of conviviality, has been closed since 2005. The municipality, in a process of revitalization of the center-bourg, wanted to acquire this strategic building to make it a multi-use project meeting the needs of the inhabitants and the territory. After a feasibility study, the choice was made to demolish and rebuild an eco-responsible building, promoting accessibility, energy performance and optimising public space. The project includes: - A local shop (bakery-grocery store) to energize the village; - A shared restaurant/bar, in partnership with Emmaus, focusing on social inclusion and short circuits; - A nursery school (MAM) to address the lack of childcare solutions; - Four rental dwellings (excluding ERDF aid application). The outdoor areas will be arranged to include permeable areas, minute parking lots, and shared green areas.
