The Agence Régionale de la Biodiversité des Îles de Guadeloupe (ARB-IG) and the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (MNHN) are carrying out the ‘Planète Revisitée des Îles de Guadeloupe’ project, which aims to acquire scientific data on poorly known biodiversity (benthic micro-species, terrestrial plant species such as lichens, fungi, mosses, or terrestrial animal species such as reptiles, batracians, insects, etc.) on the southern islands of Désirade, Marie-Galante and Saintes. The project will be divided into two parts: a terrestrial and a marine component for which around 60 local, national and international researchers will be mobilised.
