Faced with the degradation of habitats, the appearance of new threats and the evolution of management tools, knowledge and conservation of flora require important resources and very specialized expertise (foams, ferns, herbaceous, trees, complex plant families ...). In this context, the need to provide the territory with a structure capable of coordinating and conducting these efforts on flora and habitats has been pointed out by various recent diagnoses of the territory. Therefore, the creation of a botanical conservatory has been included among the priority actions of the regional biodiversity strategy elaborated during the regional natural heritage and biodiversity scheme. This creation is inscribed in the missions of the ARB IG and then translated into the roadmap of the latter. Accredited by the State, the Botanical Conservatories are major tools for the knowledge and conservation of flora. This ERDF file concerns the prefiguration of the Botanical Conservatory of the Islands of Guadeloupe, it is, "to accompany the Conservatory in its approach towards an accreditation under the National Botanical Conservatory and support its activity beyond". Thus, if the Conservatoire obtains its approval during the period of realization of this ERDF file, the resources of the approval will be integrated into the financing plan.
