The development of the EuroVéloroute N°5 on the territory of Saint-Omer consists in the creation of a cycle path promoting active modes of travel both daily and for leisure. The objectives of this development are to improve mobility in the city and in particular towards the poles generating flows, to strengthen the safety of users and mainly the most vulnerable, to improve air quality by reducing car flows, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to promote the tourist potential of the city by facilitating access to the many heritage and historical sites.
