The "Connected Social Centres" experiments carried out since 2017 on the territory of the North and Pas-de-Calais have played an essential resource function to accelerate the digital acculturation of inhabitants, employees, volunteers of social centres, but also educational and social partners of the territory. The practices that have emerged have gone far beyond the issues of access to the law or risk prevention, to focus on the challenges of supporting residents with digital uses. The digital transition is positioned as a resource for the development of people, collectives and territory. The ambition of the Federation of Social Centres of Nord Pas-de-Calais is to animate a global approach integrating these different dimensions. The social center is the third digital place of proximity that accultures the inhabitants and actors of the territory with digital challenges. With the spin-off operation continued since 2021, the Federation of Social Centres of Nord Pas-de-Calais is supporting a "change of scale", a "massification" of the digital mediation, transition and innovation action, with all the actors, employee and volunteer teams, of the network of 177 federated social centres of Nord Pas-de-Calais. It contributes to the inclusion of digital technology in the practices, social projects, functions, professions and governance of the centres in a transversal and long-term manner.
