Development of a carpooling area in Pecquencourt

Development of the first carpooling area of Douaisis in the municipality of Pecquencourt targeted as a structuring area in the Interdepartmental Carpooling Master Plan of the Nord and Pas de Calais Departments developed in 2014. This project is part of a global development strategy on the Douaisis of carpooling areas validated by the SMTD in the union committee on December 14, 2022 and which pre-identifies six locations on its territory. This area is located at a strategic crossroads between the A21 to go to Douai and Lens and to Valenciennes and the A23 to go to Lille or Valenciennes. With a capacity of 50 seats, this area will have 2 PMR locations as well as a location equipped with an electric charging station with the possibility of equipping others in the long term. In addition, it will be secured with the installation of a fence, a gantry limiting access and a video-surveillance device. It will also benefit from a secure bicycle shelter as well as a shelter to improve the comfort of waiting for users wishing to carpool. The bus stop "Anchin" of the regular bus line 19 of the Evéole network as well as the presence of bike lanes along the D25 allow access to this area in alternative modes and will make it a multimodal exchange hub. In accordance with the policy of free transport on the territory of the SMTD, access to this area will also be free.
