The rehabilitation of the mining city of Somain Chauffour is part of a massive renovation project of the mining heritage, as part of the Renouveau du Bassin Minier. Today SIA Habitat makes the choice in addition to thermal rehabilitation, to go further in improving the living conditions of the inhabitants. Thus, it was decided for this city, to add work to improve the habitability of these housing and support to aging. The project presents rehabilitation works for 87 dwellings: - the installation of photovoltaic panels on 8 dwellings and self-consumption for the 87 renovated dwellings, - indoor thermal insulation with bio-based materials (wood wool) to improve winter comfort via better regulation of humidity and summer comfort via an increase in the inertia of the dwellings. - installation of a type B hygro-regulable CMV, - replacement of exterior joinery - replacement of roofs - complete replacement or creation in the case of a dwelling still heated with coal from the heating network and DHW (ducts + radiators), boilers changed according to diagnosis The main objective of this rehabilitation is to reduce primary energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and therefore to switch from an energy label F to C.
