The rehabilitation of the two mining towns of Denain is part of a massive renovation project of the mining heritage, as part of the Renouveau du Bassin Minier. Today SIA Habitat makes the choice in addition to thermal rehabilitation, to go further in improving the living conditions of the inhabitants. Thus, it was decided for these two cities, to add work to improve the habitability of these housing and support to aging. The project presents rehabilitation works for 88 dwellings: (52 units for the Cité Bellevue and 36 units for the Cité Chabaud Latour). - indoor thermal insulation with bio-based materials (wood wool) to improve winter comfort by better regulating humidity and summer comfort by increasing the inertia of housing. - installation of a type B hygro-adjustable CMV, - replacement of exterior joinery - replacement of roofs The main objective of this rehabilitation is to reduce primary energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and thus to switch from an energy label E to C.
