The George Brassens Cultural Centre plays an essential role in the cultural landscape of the Commune of Saint-Martin-Boulogne. Dating back to the 1980s, the equipment requires a global energy renovation to continue welcoming the public and professionals. To this end, the Municipality wished to include its renovation project in an exemplary rev3 approach and relied on the rev3 framework for the renovation of tertiary buildings to set its programme. The operation targets ambitious targets for energy efficiency, renewable energy production and the use of local eco-materials. The municipality plans in particular to strengthen thermal insulation from the outside by using prefabricated wooden and straw boxes, to improve the heating and air conditioning system with a PAC coupled with a photovoltaic energy system, to promote the recovery of rainwater on the plot and to improve the comfort and health of the occupants.
