The Syndicat intercommunal de Lomagne (SIDEL) domiciled in Lectoure (32) wants to optimize its public service of prevention and management of household waste by encouraging the population to further sort its waste in order to reduce the amount of residual household waste (OMR) produced by each inhabitant and control the treatment costs that continue to increase. A new collection scheme has been adopted to remove door-to-door access and set up voluntary collection points throughout the country. Technically, this waste prevention project consists of the purchase of approximately 500 buried and semi-buried voluntary contribution columns, equipped with access control for the flow of residual household waste, civil works for the installation of these columns in 56 municipalities, the acquisition of 2 crane trucks to collect the columns, the acquisition of a dedicated management software. An incentive financing method based on the Incentive Household Garbage Removal Charge or REOMi will be implemented, directly related to the amount of waste produced by the inhabitants.
