The project consists in securing the 26 km of the containment system reliably and permanently, with regard to the protected area (7 municipalities of the Salanque plain) and the protected population (up to 65,000 people and summer period). This operation concerns tranche 1 (10.6 km) and makes a significant contribution to the security objective sought. Tranches 2, 3 and 4 (15.4 km) will be carried out as part of the following operations, which will be the subject of another aid application. The project as a whole is included in the 2023-2028 PAPI, supported by the SMBVA and labelled.
