The energy renovation project of this public building built in the 1960s is targeted as a priority in the action plan of the Land Revitalization Operation Convention. The municipality of Le Mas-d'Azil wishes to improve one of the most energy-intensive buildings in its land patrimony, the Town Hall building, which also serves as a party hall, media library, social centre, youth service and which will soon host a France Services house. On 29 February 2024, the project was awarded the quality label "Building Sustainable Occitanie" (BDO), Silver level. The objective is to promote a project that is more efficient in natural resources and respectful of the environment in order to be part of the fight against climate change. In order to comply with the tertiary decree, the works mentioned make it possible to achieve on this building of more than 1300 m2, the objective of reducing energy expenditure, with 72% gains.
