The Toulouse agglomeration faces a risk of flooding by overflow and runoff. Most of the risk areas are located along the Garonne, particularly in Toulouse, which has led the State to classify 13 municipalities bordering the Garonne as "Territories at significant risk of flooding" (TRI). In response, Toulouse Métropole is leading the project "Animation of the Flood Prevention Action Program (PAPI) of intent on the perimeter of the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy (SLGRI) on the Toulouse agglomeration" and is implementing the PAPI approach, starting with the PAPI of intent. This project aims to reduce the negative impacts of flooding caused by the overflows of the Garonne and its tributaries. The project will be carried out through several actions, such as studies to assess the risks and determine the measures to be taken, as well as awareness-raising and support campaigns for the population. The implementation period shall run from 1 January 2024 to 30 June 2025.
