The aim of the operation is to reclassify the Place des Martyrs de la Résistance and Rue Louis Médard, located in the priority areas of the city’s policy, with a view to improving the living environment of its inhabitants, contributing to changing the image of Lunel’s city centre and creating new meeting spaces. The total pedestrianization and the removal of motorized vehicles allows the inhabitants to reappropriate this space. The final objective is to set up the weekly market there, starting in the summer of 2025. This project is being carried out in parallel with the reclassification of other avenues and streets in the city centre and is part of the ‘Action coeur de ville’ project.
