The Viaduct area, a tourist reception area structuring on one of the most emblematic places in Aveyron, welcomes tourists passing through, as well as people residing in the region. Located in the perimeter of the Grand Site Occitanie Millau-Roquefort-Sylvanès, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Millau Grands Causses and gateway to the territory of the Causses and Cevennes (Unesco world heritage), the Viaduct area is a real tourist convergence point, set in an old Caussenard farm. This site has a part dedicated to the enhancement of the work of art and a part where the Departmental Agency of Attractiveness and Tourism of Aveyron has installed its Tourism Area. It is this second part, property of the Department of Aveyron, which is the subject of rehabilitation work. The purpose of the area is to inform the public about the tourist activities available in the area, but also at the level of the department. A gourmet area for the development of local products is also present. A new impulse is desired, in order to make the site more attractive and the area more dynamic thanks to a differentiating positioning, new services for business tourism, the valorization of local actors, by offering an immersive experience and spaces dedicated to the valorization of outdoor activities.
