The INITS-SMO (Shared Manufacturing Organization) plant project is designed to provide biotechnology companies with premises, tools and supports enabling them to produce their own innovative medicines for preclinical and clinical trials in France. This project will significantly increase the attractiveness of the Occitanie region as a centre of excellence in health, particularly in the field of biotherapy and bioproduction. He is also involved in the discovery of new treatments for different forms of cancer as well as rare or untreated diseases currently available. The project represents an overall budget of more than EUR 27 million, broken down as follows: • Construction/Building: EUR 15 million • Operation: EUR 12 million o Including equipment: o Equipment presented in the ERDF file: 5.5 million euros This equipment will be installed in the new factory under construction in the municipality of Mauguio
