The project is led by the company PSI Environnement (PSI), located in Lannemezan (65), and concerns the creation of a CSR (solid recovery fuel) preparation line, which will serve as energy inputs (in substitution for natural gas) for steam production at the nearby Arkema site. The PSI project (known as the OMEGA project) is thus closely linked to the project of Dalkia and Arkema (known as the NEA project) to replace a gas boiler room with a CSR (solid recovery fuel) boiler room in order to guarantee the supply of steam necessary for the activities of the ARKEMA site. The two projects having been jointly developed, Dalkia and Arkema now rely on the project led by PSI for its energy supply. PSI Environnement and AREC have created the company EO8 which will carry out the project to install this CSR preparation line. AREC Occitanie co-invests and supports the project through its regional FITEEO facility (capital 76% by PSI – 24% by AREC Efficacité).
