MAT-GE

MAT-GE concerns innovative materials: from synthesis to ownership, and the science and innovation strategy is characterized by: - coverage of large families of materials (polymers and soft matter, nanomaterials, metallic materials, and Materials under severe stress), - an approach targeting scientifically promising and economically value-creating themes (surfaces and interfaces, 3D objects and low-dimensional objects, micro/nano-structures and properties, intelligent materials, additive manufacturing, development of new implants, nanomaterials for precision medicine, resources, circular economy), - dissemination of technologies in growing application markets (transport, energy, eco-industries, health, digital, construction, consumer goods and industrial equipment). The objective is to remove scientific and technological barriers concerning the optimization of processes for the shaping of materials in terms of quality and durability of products, energy cost, and their environmental impact, the multi-scale optical, thermal, mechanical and structural characterization of materials and nanomaterials, especially under extreme stress (fast dynamic measurements, high temperatures, corrosion ...), and finally the consistency (chaining) of information and data on the entire life cycle of the material.
